how to speed up windows performance


  1. Turn off effects are not important, setting the best performance

It is rich in animation windows 7. But the animation makes the PC or laptop to be slow. Here are some ways to turn off the visual effects of Windows 7.

- Right-click on [Computer]> click [Properties]> click [Advanced
system settings]> on the performance click the [setting] so the Performance Options window appears.
Click [Adjust for best performance]. then click [OK]

Optimize your hard disk.
Availability of memory on the hard disk also affects the performance of the computer.
If memory is low possibility of a PC or laptop we will be slow. Usually that causes reduced capacity hard disk is the system restore point. Any changes on the windows, will usually make a system restore point. The more restore points are created then the capacity of the hard disk will be reduced. Since System Restore is also useful someday windows error occurs, then keep using. Well let me not always delete the restore point that is too long, then we should set the capacity of the hard disk to be used as a restore point. The trick is as follows:
Start- Right-click [Computer]> select [Properties]> click [System Protection]> click on the [Configure]> Then set the capacity to be used.
Do not be too large, 6-10% of the remaining capacity of the hard disk is left is enough. click OK

Turn off / Disable features that are rarely used.
As above that windows 7 is rich in various animations. However, all animations can be eliminated in the following way:
- Disable Aero themes.
Right-click [desktop]> click [Personalize]> select [windows 7 basic]. Personalize window closes.
- Disable Aero Peek.
Aero peek is used to create a transparent window that is open. To disable this feature by the way: Right click on the [taskbar]> click [Properties]> uncheck the "use Aero Peek to preview the desktop"
- Disable aero shake.
Suppose there are several active window, If one window is active at wiggle, then automatically the other windows will be minimized. To disable aero shake feature is done by:
* Open the group policy editor by clicking the [start] and then type "gpedit.msc" and press [enter].
* After the local group policy editor page, go to the [User Configuration]> [administrative templates]> [desktop]. In the right pane double click "turn off aero shake windows minimizing mouse gesture"> select [Enable] and click [OK]. 

-Disable aero snapHow to disable aero snap is:
* Go to [Control Panel], click [ease of acces]> click [ease of acces center]> click [Make the mouse Easier to use]
* You can check the "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when to the edge of the screen". Click OK.
4.
Perform defrakmentasi hard disk at least once a month
[Start]> [all programs]> [Accessories]> [System tools]> [disk defragmenter]. Select one drive and then click [defragment].
5.
Turn off unnecessary applications run at startup.
[Start]> type "msconfig" in the search box and press [enter]> Click on the tab [startup]> uncheck run applications that are not necessary at startup. Click OK.
6.
Disable unneeded services
[Start]> type "services"> press [enter]. Right click on the service that would be disabled and then click [Properties]. Click [Disable] if you want service do not always run at the lighted windows, or click [stop] to turn it off. Click [OK].
7. Using all cores for booting.
Computers with many processor cores, you should use all the cores at the time of booting windows.
To arrange for all cores used when windows boot can be done by:
* Log on system configuration by clicking [start] then type "msconfig" and press [enter]Click the [boot]> select [operating system windows 7].* Click the [advanced options], so that the dialog box appears advan ce boot option, put a check in the [Number of processor] and then select the number of processors.
